Hot Vegas Nights in Timelapse

Las Vegas Boulevard looks wet in this timelapse shot.  But it’s not from rain, it’s the oil on the road and the hot semi-sticky tar glistening from the sun’s daily onslaught.  One could call it gawdy, but Vegas does have its charm – colorful, bright and cheerful – unless, of course, you’ve been playing the slots.  Click the image below for fullscreen view.

Vegas Street Timelapse

Shot on sidewalk at The Encore in Las Vegas, June 2014

The following was shot on the Bellagio walkway across from the Paris.  Riding the escalator to the bottom we saw a few girls dressed as showgirls.  I first thought they were probably sponsored by a casino marketing one of their production numbers.  WRONG.  Each time a girl would get an unsuspecting tourist – victim – to pose with her, a burly imposing pimp-looking dude would walk up and demand some unknown and undoubtedly unreasonable amount of folding money.  Only in Vegas.  Photoprostitution.  One imagines there’s gonna be a law shortly.
